Understanding the Body
Children learned about different body organs, including the heart and kidneys, and how they work. They understood that the heart pumps blood by opening and closing its chambers and valves, helping blood move in one direction. They also learned how pulse rate shows how fast the heart is beating and how it changes during rest and activity.
They explored how blood carries oxygen to the body and returns to the heart, and how the kidneys clean the blood by removing waste. While making simple organ models, they learned about shapes, parts, and where organs are located in the body. Children developed a basic understanding of how body organs work together to keep us healthy.

Pumping Heart Model
A working model of the heart showing chambers, valves, and blood flow. Children squeezed the chambers and observed how the valves directed flow in one direction. They then drew what they observed and labelled the parts.
Q-Tip Skeleton
Children created skeleton models using Q-tips while learning about the basic structure of the human body. As they placed each bone carefully, they understood where major bones are located and how they connect to support the body.
